10:00-11:00 Trip to the Geghard cave monastery (Spear monastery, 12-13 centuries).
11:00-11:30 Visit to the Geghard Monastery.
The Geghard monastery complex is considered one of the main attractions of Armenia. The complex is listed as a unesco World Heritage Site.
11:30-12:00 Trip to the village of Garni.
12:00-12:30 Visit to the pagan Temple of the Sun (1st century ad).
The Armenian pagan temple of Garni is the only surviving monument to paganism in Armenia. In 2011, Garni was also awarded the unesco Prize.
12:30-13:30 Trip to Lake Sevan.
13:30-14:30 Lunch at the restaurant
14:30:15:15 Inspection of the Sevanavank monastery on the peninsula (9 century)
The tour participants will visit Sevan Island and the Sevan Peninsula. One of the main attractions of the area is located here – the 9th century Sevanavank monastery and the Vazgenyan Theological Seminary.
