Arequipa & Colca Canyon Multi-Day Tour – Arequipa, Peru

EXPERIENCE:

Day 1: Arequipa

Airport pick-up and transfer to hotel in Arequipa. After checking into the hotel, you will have free time to rest.

in the afternoon, start the Arequipa city tour and visit the Monastery of Santa Catalina. Next visit Plaza de Armas, the typical districts of Carmen Alto, and Yanahuara. Finish the tour in the early evening and rest up overnight in the city.

Day 2: Arequipa – Colca Canyon

At 8:00 AM, be collected from your hotel to travel to the snowy mountain Chachani in VIP transport. See wild vicunas, alpacas, and llamas in the National Reserve of Pampa Cañahu, plus birds such as flamingos, ibis, Andean geese, ducks, eagles, and a rare Andean bird called kara kara. Visit the viewpoint of volcanoes and snowy mountains in Patapampa. Arrive in Chivay, the capital of the Colca Valley, where you’ll have the afternoon to relax.
 
Day 3: Colca Canyon- Arequipa

After early morning breakfast, depart on a full-day excursion on the southern side of the canyon, and visit beautiful towns like Yanque and Maca, with colonial and traditional architecture. See hundreds of pre-Inca terraces still used for farm and Andean corn, quinoa, amaranth, and other produce.

After a walk of two hours, reach La Cruz del Condor. Marvel at the depth of the Colca Canyon and spot several condors flying overhead. Return to Arequipa in the early evening for the final overnight stay.

Day 4: Depart Arequipa
 
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.
