After meeting your guide at the statue at the entrance of the Hermitage Museum, head to the National Holocaust Names Memorial dedicated to Dutch Holocaust victims including 1,20,000 Jewish, Sinti, and Roma people who died during the Second World War.

Uncover the Jewish district, its relation to the wider city, and the origins of the Jewish community in 1600. As you follow your guide around the city, discuss the Holocaust and Anne Frank’s history with the help of old wartime photos and text to gain a better understanding of the city’s tragic past.

Then, walk to the part of Amsterdam where Anne Frank and her family stayed in hiding for 2 years before their deportation. Learn about the family’s move from Germany to Amsterdam, and their life inside the secret apartment with 4 other Jews until they were discovered by authorities on August 4, 1944.

End the walk outside of the Anne Frank House which is now a biographical museum (ENTRANCE TICKET IS NOT INCLUDED).
