Alkmaar: Guided Walking Tour with Welcome Drink – Alkmaar, Netherlands

EXPERIENCE

Alkmaar is a magnificent city, a place with a long history and a glorious past. During a 3 to 4 kilometer walk through the city center, I will let you personally experience this. After a joint cup of tea or coffee at the starting point, I will take you on a discovery journey of about 2 hours. This walk takes us past picturesque Dutch canals, authentic residential courtyards, medieval alleys, impressive churches, and many beautiful canal houses from our ‘Golden Age’. Besides the architecture that Alkmaar has to offer, I will also introduce you to the city’s modern art and culture. I would love to show you museums and monuments that remind us of Alkmaar’s history and victories.

The city tour ends at the famous Waagplein, where the well-known cheese market takes place every Friday. I hope to see you soon in the magnificent city of Alkmaar.
