4Day – Cusco-Sacred Valley+Maras-Moray+Machu Picchu+Hotel 4? – Cusco, Peru

Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up from the airport – City tour Cusco

Start with the pick up from the airport and transfer to the hotel. Free morning to rest and acclimatize.
1:00 p.m. pick up from the hotel for the City tour, First place of visit Qoricancha (temple of the sun), after 30 minutes in the mobility we will arrive to Sacsayhuaman (from Quechua saqsay = place of satiation and waman = hawk, that is “Place where the hawk is satiated”). Then we will visit Qenqo (ritual center in a rocky outcrop) place of much mysticism that you will feel when you enter the rocky outcrop.
After 15 minutes of mobility we will arrive at Puca Pucara (red fortress) military construction and finally Tambomachay known as Bath of the Inca where water worship was performed. Afterwards we return to Cusco, approximate time of arrival 6:00 pm.

Day 2: Sacred Valley + Maras & Moray

Pick up from the hotel in Cusco between 06:00 and 06:55 AM to begin our journey to the north of the region. Our first stop is Chinchero, where we will enter a local community to discover the Textile Interpretation Center. Then, we will visit the Moray Archaeological Site, acclaimed as the Inca Agricultural Laboratory, and continue the journey to Maras to explore its famous Salt Mines.

Afterwards, we will head to Urubamba, where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch combining the best of Peruvian and Andean gastronomy. After lunch, we will head to the Ollantaytambo Archaeological Site, formerly an Inca tambo and starting point to Machu Picchu. Here, we will immerse ourselves in history as we explore its iconic stone terraces, the Temple of the Sun and the fountain of the Princess’ Baths.
After having a guided tour of Ollantaytambo we have to go to the train station to board the train that will take us to Aguas Calientes where we will spend the night and the next day we will visit Machu Picchu.

Day 3 – Machu Picchu Citadel

The tour starts very early (04:00 am) with the pick up from your hotel, and then be transferred in a mobility to the town of Ollantaytambo where we board our train to the town of “Aguas Calientes” with a duration of 1 hour and 30 minutes.
At the train station our guide will be waiting for you and with him we will go to the bus station where we will board the respective bus to get to the incredible world wonder Machupicchu “The Lost City of the Incas”.
Arriving at the citadel of Machu Picchu we will show the entrance ticket, from this place we will start the guided tour of 2 hours.
Then we will return to the town of Aguas Calientes to have lunch. In the afternoon you will take the train back to Cusco (check in 30 minutes before departure of your train). The return will be the same route as the outbound journey, upon arrival at the train station in Ollantaytambo will be waiting to take you to your hotel in Cusco.

Day 4 – Transfer to the airport
Depending on the time of your flight, the transportation will go to your hotel to take you to the airport or bus terminal.
