Embark on a captivating 4-day Garden Route tour starting from Cape Town, where on Day 1, you’ll journey to the ancient Cango Caves, marveling at their intricate limestone formations and rich history. Day 2 takes you to the Botlierskop Game Reserve for an unforgettable safari experience amidst diverse wildlife, before continuing to the picturesque town of Knysna. On Day 3, explore the breathtaking landscapes of Robberg Nature Reserve and witness the dramatic Knysna Heads, offering panoramic views of the coastline. Finally, on Day 4, return to Cape Town via the charming town of Hermanus, renowned for whale watching, and stop at Benguela Cove Wine Estate to savor the region’s finest wines before concluding this memorable adventure.

On Day 1, depart Cape Town at 8 am and embark on a scenic drive along the R62 Wine Route, renowned for its picturesque vineyards and charming small towns. Continue to Oudtshoorn, the heart of the Klein Karoo region, where you will tour the fascinating Cango Caves. Explore the ancient limestone formations and subterranean wonders of this renowned cave system, delving into its rich history and natural beauty. Overnight at Karoo Resort or similar hotel in Oudtshoorn.

On day 2, after breakfast in Oudtshoorn, depart for the Botlierskop Game Reserve. Immerse yourself in the diverse wildlife and scenic beauty during a thrilling safari experience. You are likely to see most of the big 5 – lions, elephants, rhino and buffaloes and a lot of the other animals. Afterward, continue your journey to the enchanting town of Knysna, nestled along the picturesque Garden Route, where you’ll settle in for the night. Enjoy the serene ambiance and prepare for more adventures in this coastal haven. Overnight at aha the Rex Hotel or similar in Knysna.

On Day 3, embark on a tour of the stunning Robberg Nature Reserve in Plettenberg Bay, renowned for its diverse wildlife and coastal views. Here you do a 2 hour hike. Then visit the iconic Bloukrans Bridge, famed for its bungee jumping, the highest in the world at 216 metres (own expense). Explore the dramatic landscapes of Knysna Heads, where the ocean meets the lagoon, and wander through the vibrant Knysna Quays Waterfront with its shops, restaurants, and scenic views. Conclude the day with an overnight stay in Knysna, soaking in the town’s charming atmosphere. Overnight at aha the Rex Hotel or similar in Knysna.

On Day 4, depart from Knysna and travel to the coastal town of Hermanus, renowned for its whale watching opportunities, we do a brief tour of Hermanus. We then continue to Benguela Cove Wine Estate, where you will enjoy a wine tasting experience (5 top wines) amid stunning vineyard views. We journey onward to Betty’s Bay to see the charming penguin colony, see the endangered African Penguins, before traveling along the scenic Whale Coast route back to Cape Town, concluding your memorable Garden Route adventure.
