On day 1, depart from Surabaya or Malang and drive to a hotel in the Malang/Tumpak Sewu area. Stop over to see the Jodipan Rainbow Village and take pictures with the colorful buildings. Arrive at the hotel in the afternoon and check in.

On day 2, wake up early in the morning and have breakfast. Drive to Tumpak Sewu Waterfall. Meet the guide and go together to one of the most visited waterfalls in Indonesia. After enjoying the waterfall, drive to the next hotel in the Bromo area.

Once you reach the hotel, have some time to spare at your convenience by strolling around the hotel, the nearby farming area, witnessing the daily activities of the Tenggerese people, or just relaxing at the hotel.

On day 3, get ready to be picked up at 2:30 AM by a 4WD-vehicle to experience the bumpy road to reach Mt. Penanjakan which is the best spot to enjoy the breathtaking scene of Bromo sunrise. Drive down the hill, passing the vast sea of sand, resulting from the eruption of Mt. Bromo, in a 30-minute-easy track all the way to the peak. From the crater rim, see the active Bromo crater, caldera, and the mountainous views of Mt. Batok and the highest mountain in Java Island, Mt. Semeru. Also, find the Hindu temple reflecting the Majapahit Kingdom’s history.

Next, enjoy breakfast at Lava View restaurant and return to Surabaya/Malang.
