2-Day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Tour – Cusco Region, Peru

EXPERIENCE

Day 01: We will begin this great adventure
– Pick up from your hotel at 8:00 a.m. to go to the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will visit Pisac, one of the Inca archaeological sites, at the top of the mountain, with impressive stone walls, agricultural terraces, irrigation systems and the largest cemetery of the Inca Empire.
Afterwards you will have time to shop at the artisan market, where artisans are waiting for you with their ceramics, textiles, jewelry, Andean instruments, alpaca products and souvenirs that they make themselves in their community. We will continue our approximately 1 hour trip through the Sacred Valley to Urubamba, where we will have time for lunch in one of the exclusive local restaurants that offers several traditional dishes, made with fresh products.
In the afternoon, we will visit the archaeological complex of Ollantaytambo, which is 35 minutes from Urubamba, where you can appreciate the technique with which the Incas worked stone, the last Inca citadel standing. The ancient city is built on ancient Inca buildings. Explore the city’s archaeological site, which features temples, terraces, warehouses and a large Inca monolith.
Then, we will depart by train from Ollantay Tambo station to Aguas Calientes, where our staff will help you stay in one of the hotels in Aguas Calientes. (Choose between an excursion with or without accommodation).

DAY 02: In the morning the guide will pick you up at the hotel to board the bus transportation that will last 30 minutes that will ascend an intricate path that will offer us a spectacular view of the Urubamba River that shapes the famous canyon.
The Lost City of the Incas, Machu Picchu, will welcome you with its incredible terraces, staircases, ceremonial enclosures and urban areas from which energy emanates everywhere.
After a guided tour, you will have the opportunity to have lunch at one of the restaurants in the area. Afterwards at the coordinated time, we will return by Aguas Calientes train to Ollantaytambo and then by bus we will transfer to the hotel in Cusco, ending with a great and incredible day.
