2-day excursion to Machu Picchu with entrance fees – Cusco Region, Peru

EXPERIENCE

Day 1: Cusco – Aguas Calientes
We will pick you up from the meeting point in Cusco at the time of your choice and from there we will take a two-hour bus ride to the Ollantaytambo train station. Upon arrival, we will board the train and begin a one-and-a-half-hour journey into the Andes mountain range and through a landscape that will be hard to forget. Mountains that seem to touch the sky, rivers that merge with the green of the hills… Impressive!

When we arrive at the town of Aguas Calientes we will take you to the hotel where we will stay that night. The rest of the afternoon you will have free time to walk around this remote place.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco
After breakfast at the hotel, we will board a bus to experience the highlight of the excursion: Machu Picchu. Who hasn’t dreamed of admiring the ancient Inca citadel?

Once there, we will take a two-and-a-half-hour guided tour of the alleys and passageways of one of the Seven Wonders of the Modern World. Afterwards, you will have another two hours of free time to explore the area or climb the Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu mountains on your own. There are spectacular views from the top!

We will then return by bus to Aguas Calientes, where you will have time to eat on your own and continue exploring the small Andean village. We will finish the excursion by returning by train to Ollantaytambo and from there by bus to Cusco.
