EXPERIENCE

Day 1: Cusco – Hydroelectric – Machu Picchu Town
Between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. we will pick you up at the meeting point, Plaza Regocijo in Cusco and we will head by minibus to Ollantaytambo through the fascinating landscapes of the Sacred Valley of the Incas.

We will stop for breakfast to gain energy before starting the Abra Málaga route. We will ascend to a height of 4,316 meters above sea level, from where we will have one of the best perspectives of Peruvian geography.

Afterwards, we will begin the descent through the jungle until we reach Santa María, at 1250 meters of altitude. After a brief stop to refuel, we will arrive at Santa Teresa, the prelude to the Hydroelectric Plant, where we will get off the minibus to recharge our batteries at a local restaurant around 1:30 p.m.
With our appetite satisfied, we will undertake a walk of approximately 3 hours to the town of Machu Picchu. In this town we will have dinner and spend the night in a local accommodation.

Day 2: Machu Picchu – Cusco
The second day we will have to get up very early, but we assure you that it will be worth it. We will have breakfast at the hotel and at 5:00 a.m. we will begin the ascent to the citadel of Machu Picchu on foot. After an hour and a half walk, we will enjoy an unforgettable sunrise. You won’t be able to stop taking photos!

When we arrive, we will take a two-hour guided tour of the spectacular lost city of the Incas. As we advance through its alleys and passageways, you will understand why it is considered a masterpiece of architecture and engineering.

At 10:30 a.m., we will begin the descent on foot to return to Aguas Calientes. We can also go down by bus, if you prefer.

From Aguas Calientes, we can return by bus or on foot along the Abra Málaga route to Hidroeléctrica. From there, we will return by bus to Cusco. In this city, where arrival is scheduled at 9:30 p.m., we will leave you around the Plaza de San Francisco
