Tai Chi | Qigong at Sarasota Garden Club – Sarasota, FL

Learn and practice the ancient Chinese exercise forms of Tai Chi and Qigong with Gail at The Bay. Tai Chi and Qigong are often referred to as “moving meditation” as they allow each individual to detach from the stress of daily life. These forms are also referred to as “moving medication” as they benefit the entire body and mind.

About Gail Pettit

Gail is a Level 3 Graduate and Certified Teacher of Integral Qigong and Tai Chi with over a decade of experience teaching in Sarasota. She loves to help build community while teaching movement for health, vitality, and inner peace.

Know Before You Go:

• Free parking is located around the site and all parking lots remain open — along Blvd of the Arts and in front of the Van Wezel, Municipal Auditorium and Blue Pagoda. Please avoid parking in designated Sarasota Orchestra parking areas.

• Direct access between the park and the parking lot in front of the Blue Pagoda, Art Center, and Municipal Auditorium is now open.

• South Van Wezel Way near the corner of Blvd of the Arts will be closed for construction to improve stormwater drainage. Please enter off the 10th Street Roundabout.

• Construction of the new Town Square (located between the Municipal Auditorium and Art Center) is underway and affects pedestrian routes between the parking lot along N. Tamiami Trail and venues west of Van Wezel Way (incl. The Bay park, Van Wezel, and Holley Hall). Signs are posted to direct you between these locations. • Pets are welcome outdoors, but if the event is located indoors, only service animals will be permitted.

• Please report any risky or unsafe behavior to the Sarasota Non-Emergency Police 24 hours a day (941) 316-1199.

This event will happen rain or shine. Based on Florida’s unpredictable weather, location decisions will often be made closer to the time of the event. In the case of inclement weather, the event will be moved indoors. In the rare occasion that an indoor location is unavailable, this event will be cancelled. Location changes or cancellations will be communicated via The Bay website calendar, Eventbrite, Facebook and Instagram.
