Spanish Paella – Cooking Class at 2931 Solano Ave – Napa, CA

Dive into the world of Spanish cuisine and explore the art of cooking one of Spain’s most iconic dishes… paella! In this class, you will be able to customize your own perfect pan of paella with a selection of traditional meats, seafood, and veggies. You will learn about the regional variations of paella, staple ingredients for a well stocked Spanish pantry, and the secrets to building a flavorful and complex pan of paella at home from ingredients easily found in your neighborhood grocery store.

Our culinary coaches will demonstrate and explain the keys to cooking paella such as sofrito preparation, proper rice-to-liquid ratio for achieving the perfect texture, and how to work with the world’s most expensive spice, saffron. Get ready to have your “palate passport” stamped with deliciousness!

On the menu is Spanish Valencia Paella, Melon and Fig Salad with Honey-Sherry Vinaigrette, Pan con Tomate, and Almond Macaron Cookies.

PLAYTE Kitchen in-person cooking classes are approximately 3 hours in length (2 hours in the kitchen and an hour to enjoy the food you’ve prepared. All guests will be provided kitchen towels, aprons, a class recipe packet to take home, and plenty of foodie fun along the way.
