Music & Sip at Regent Coffee Brew and Bottle House – Los Angeles, CA

Music & Sip began as a simple idea between friends: good music, thoughtful coffee, and a space to slow down for a little while.

Over the past three gatherings, Goh and I have hosted these events in the evening. This time, we’re trying something different: a Sunday morning session. We wanted to create an experience that’s a little easier to join, a little brighter, and perhaps a little more relaxed.

This gathering is also a little different for another reason. Our team has grown. Our friend Elaine will be joining us to help with table service and hospitality throughout the event. Rather than standing in line or wondering what comes next, we want guests to simply sit down, relax, enjoy the music, and let us take care of the rest.

In many ways, this event is an opportunity for us to practice hospitality in a more personal way. We’ve been serving coffee for over ten years, but creating a small gathering like this allows us to slow down, connect with guests, and focus on the details that often get lost in a busy coffee shop.

Throughout the morning, guitarist Goh Kurosawa will perform live while guests enjoy a thoughtfully curated three-course coffee tasting menu designed exclusively for this event.

This month’s menu includes:

• Yunnan Peach Oolong, a delicate pour-over with notes of peach, oolong florals, and tea-like sweetness.

• After Bloom, a clarified coconut milk punch featuring Young Producers, an experimental Colombian coffee, layered with pear, vanilla, citrus, and smoked rose aroma.

• Red Bourbon Sour, a bright and silky coffee sour built around our barrel-aged Ethiopia Guji Gigesa, accented with yuzu, rose, hibiscus, and orange.

The first two courses will be served at the beginning of the event, followed by a final course later in the morning as the experience unfolds.

This is not a formal tasting and not a concert. Think of it as a slow morning among friends, with good music, thoughtful drinks, warm hospitality, and a chance to pause before the week begins.
