After 25 years of fiddling around the globe, FRIGG brings their vibrant string music to the Hall for a joyful and uplifting concert.

Experience the magic of FRIGG, the Finnish band that has spent 25 years blending Nordic folk with American bluegrass into a unique sound known as Nordgrass.

Performing in the historic ballroom of Mechanics’ Hall, this concert will showcase their virtuosic strings—violins, mandolins, guitars, and double bass—resonating beautifully through the space.

With over 10 albums and performances across 30 countries at prestigious festivals like Telluride Bluegrass and Celtic Connections, FRIGG’s captivating fusion of tradition and innovation promises an unforgettable night.

ABOUT THE ARTISTS

One of Finland’s hottest musical exports, the sizzling Nordic sextet has carved itself a top-notch in folk with its heart-bursting, life-affirming, feel-good tunes, and precision musicianship.

Named after the Norse goddess of love and fertility, FRIGG includes band members Petri Prauda, Alina Kivivuori, Esko Järvelä, Tero Hyväluoma, Juho Kivivuori, and Topi Korhonen.

PARKING & TRANSPORTATION

Mechanics’ Hall is located at 519 Congress Street. Our main entrance is between Loquat Shop and the Art Mart. The Greater Portland Metro’s Congress & Casco Street Stop is directly in front of our building, served by routes 1, 7, 8, and 9B.

Parking is available at the Arts District Garage, which has entrances on Casco and Brown Street, with a rate of $5 per hour. Metered street parking is available on Congress, Casco, Cumberland, Free Street, and other nearby streets. Free hourly street parking is available between Parris and Alder Street.

ACCESSIBILITY

To enter our building, patrons will need to navigate a single step. There is a wheelchair-accessible elevator and a ramp available upon request.
