The Church Studio presents IN SESSION, a recording session with Greyhounds + King Cabbage Brass Band—an exclusive and immersive listening experience in the iconic Live Room. Limited to just 50 attendees, this event offers a unique opportunity to become part of the recording and tracking process. 

As an integral part of the session, each guest will be provided with individual headphones delivering a personalized mix of vocals and multi-track instrumentation. This is more than a concert—it’s a rare glimpse into the artistry of analog recording, a journey into raw and authentic soundscapes.

Greyhounds Bio:
Keyboardist/vocalist Anthony Farrell and guitarist/vocalist Andrew Trube met and began collaborating over 20 years ago, over a shared love of The Meters. The duo has recruited a number of drummers over the years, including ace Austin session player Russell Lee, who currently occupies that seat. For a decade, Farrell and Trube were mainstays in JJ Grey’s MOFRO, but left in 2016 to focus exclusively on Greyhounds. They’ve released five full-length studio albums and one full-length live record (for Ardent Records and Nine Mile Records) and developed a unique funky Texas sound that Trube describes as “Hall & Oates meets ZZ Top.” The band also frequently records and collaborates with dozens of other Austin musicians in their home studio Bud’s Recording Services.

King Cabbage Brass Band Bio:
King Cabbage Brass Band started in the summer of 2021 at Tulsa’s Cry Baby Hill, a honky-tonk Mardi Gras, and has been keeping the party alive ever since. With eight performers, including a powerful five-piece horn section, they bring a jukebox of funk, soul, jazz, and R&B to life. Their dynamic live shows transcend genre boundaries, captivating audiences with sing-along songs that keep the energy going all night.
Since their formation, King Cabbage has become a regional favorite, performing at major festivals like SXSW and FORMAT Festival alongside artists like Leon Bridges and Alanis Morissette. From entertaining for the Oklahoma City Thunder and Tulsa Drillers to weddings featured in Vogue Magazine, and even custom P!NK songs on the roof of the BOK Center, the band takes every opportunity to deliver unforgettable performances.
