Friday Feb. 7th

11:30 am – 12:00 pm     Meet & Greet – Peck Center – 516 S 10th St, Fernandina Beach, FL – Buddy Price, Scott & Dawna Moore

12:00 pm – 1:30 pm $30 The Camera – Peck Center – What do all those knobs and dials on the camera do? We’ll review what the major buttons and dials do with your camera. We’ll talk about the difference between DSLR and Mirrorless cameras and about the different sensor sizes available and the advantages (and disadvantages) of each. Buddy Price 

1:30 pm – 3:00 pm  $30 Landscape Photography – Peck Center – Talks about this special type of nature photography from the gear to getting the composition and the special things you will run into  while doing this. Buddy Price

 

3:00 pm – 4:30 pm  $30   Sunset/Sunrise Class – Peck Center – Tips and instruction when shooting sunrise/sunset photos, including camera settings & equipment. – Scott Moore

5:00 pm – 6:30 pm  $10  Sunset Photo Walk – Amelia Island State Park – hands on instruction when photographing the sunset. Amelia Island State Park. The Park protects over 200 acres of unspoiled wilderness along the southern tip of Amelia Island. Beautiful beaches, salt marshes, and coastal maritime forests provide visitors with a glimpse of original Florida.  – Scott & Dawna We will meet in the back of the big parking lot along the river. Amelia Island State Park – Entry fee is $2.00 a person or a State Park Pass. Lost/Questions – text/call Scott at 904-404-6952A tripod is highly recommended for shooting sunsets.

Saturday Feb. 8th

8:00 am – 9:30 am – $45 Ron Sapp Egans Creek Greenway Photo Walk & Review – Hands on instruction Photo Walk -Its grass-covered roads serve as a network of trails that are suitable for walking and bicycling, and its environment exhibits a variety of natural wildlife and vegetation.  Local wildlife, such as alligators, snakes, marsh rabbits, and many birds, may be enjoyed from a distance.    Buddy & Scott, Dawna

10:30 pm – 12:00 pm – $30 Lens ClassPeck Center – How do you know which lens or focal length to select when taking pictures? We’ll review the three major categories and go over why you would select a specific focal length/lens for different kinds of pictures. We’ll also discuss aperture and depth of field and how that may determine your lens choices.- Buddy Price

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm – $30 The Art of Bird Photography – Peck Center – A guide on capturing stunning bird images from how to begin to pro tips.  – Yvonne Randolph

2:30 pm – 4:00 pm – $30 Getting Started with iPhone Photography – Peck Center – Learn to take incredible photos with the camera you always have with you…the iPhone! In this class, we will be learning all about the “Native” iPhone camera app as well as accessories you can use in your photography to bring your pictures to the next level. Much of the information provided in this class will also apply to most Android phone apps.  – Dawna Moore

5:00 pm – 6:30 pm – $10 Sunset Downtown Fernandina Beach Marina – Located on the beautiful Amelia River, the Fernandina Beach Marina offers breathtaking views of the sunset, and plenty of shrimp and sail boats with reflections off the water. Here you will find everything you need to capture stunning images that truly capture the unique beauty of this historic marine haven. Hands on instruction when photographing the sunset. – Scott & Dawna Moore

Sunday Feb. 9th

6:30 am – 8:00 am – $45 Sunrise Photo Walk & ReviewAmerican Beach – Burney Park – 95570 Burney Rd, American Beach, FL –  We will meet at the gazebo near the bathrooms and photograph the sunrise on the beach with hands-on instruction. After sunrise, we’ll drive/walk to Nana Dunes, the tallest dune in Florida, a 60-foot dune system that she dubbed “NaNa,” and the adjoining property to the shoreline. A tripod is highly recommended for shooting sunrises. – Scott Moore

8:30 am – 10:30 am – Review Sunrise photos at the Peck Center – Scott & Dawna Moore

10:30 am – 12:00 pm – $30 Photographing the Night Sky – Peck Center – Talks about getting the best shots of the night sky including the moon, star trails, milky way, etc. –  Buddy Price

1:00 pm – 2:30 pm – $30 Zoo PhotographyPeck Center – There are special tricks and tips that will dramatically improve your photography of animals at the zoo as in “How did you make the fence disappear?” Buddy Price

 

2:30 pm – 4:00 pm –  $30 Taking Your iPhone Photography to the Next Level – Peck Center – In this class, we will be breaking away from the basic iPhone camera app and exploring apps that will give you more control over capturing your photos and creating artistic images. Much of the information provided in this class will also apply to most Android phone apps. – Dawna Moore
