The first time I was in Puerto Morelos, Mexico, was in 2016 (when I completed my original hot yoga teacher training). At that time, I was in an entirely different space. I was in an incredibly toxic relationship with toxic behaviors. The change I experienced in Mexico gave me the strength to leave and start on a new path–focusing on building myself and my business. 

Since that first visit, I have accomplished a lot, but I continued to spend majority of my time operating in survival mode… doing my best to keep all the plates spinning. 

I set an intention last year to stop spinning so many plates, hired an assistant, and put software and systems in place, so I would no longer feel so overwhelmed… which was an enormous help! I started focusing more on self-care and cultivating the space for a personal life…. even making room for a love life!  

The perfect relationship I thought I had manifested fell apart, and I was heart-broken.

Ironically, I had ‘won’ a yoga retreat and the dates coincided with the break up… I had no idea how much it would be EXACTLY what I needed! My experience in Mexico was transformative and so incredibly empowering!! It provided me (again) with the space to heal, learn and grow. 

Not only did I experience the most epic adventures, I learned many new self-care techniques. It provided me the space to create goals and a plan to keep the momentum going and continue to evolve into my best self.
