While the two are able to make their way back inside the hotel through the kitchen, their efforts eventually come to an abrupt halt when Stanley puts Ruby inside a small dumbwaiter where she gets trapped. In the severity of the situation, Stanley comes to terms with himself and realizes what really matters.
