Sound in Motion, an Evening of Live Visual Music.

On January 26 (doors open at 5, show at 6: tickets here), join us for a night of live performances where sight and sound converge in extraordinary ways. Sound in Motion brings together three visionary artists of audiovisual narrative, each presenting a unique exploration of visually generated audio. Through custom software and cutting-edge techniques, these artists push the boundaries of synaesthetic relationships, crafting works where light and motion become music.

The evening features Joshue Ott, Georgios Cherouvim, and Nathan Wheeler. I am incredibly excited about the immersive experience they have planned for us. Josh’s digital, ephemeral, multi-sensory shows were featured at Mutek, Carnegie Hall, Ars Electronica. Georgios, who has presented work at Ars Electronica, Siggraph, SXSW, will perform one last time in New York City before relocating to Greece. Nathan crafts ambient soundscapes, dense distorted textures, infectious beats, and lush orchestrations and has performed at MoMA PS1, the Met Museum, and at venues around the globe.

Art installations by Todd Polenberg, Nam June Paik, Jonah Brucker-Cohen, Mina Cheon.
