Runs: January 11 – May 4, 2025
Who: Students in 6th through 12th grades
When: Saturdays, 9:30 – 11:45 am; January 11th through May 4th (no class on February 22nd for Rodeo Break)
Note: There will be additional rehearsals scheduled the final week of production in the evenings. Please see the class webpage for a full calendar.
Cost: $295, all materials included.

Step onstage for performance! Scamp Company is the youth ensemble that will mount a full MainStage production. The program begins with a fall workshop in which students will be assigned their role, begin honing their theatrical skills, and begin rehearsing the play. Students will develop their confidence, performance skills, and stage presence. The course will cultivate a sense of dedication to craft, respect for fellow artists, and joy in performing. The fall workshop will lead directly into the spring rehearsals and eventual performance run. New and experienced actors are all welcome!

Skills students will develop during this course:

Ensemble building and nurturing
Movement and gesture
Performance skills, including vocal skills and physical presence
Collaborative storytelling
Observation and listening
An understanding of theatre terms and technologies
