Bill Murray is an award-winning American actor, comedian, and writer. Murray is known for his deadpan delivery in roles ranging from studio comedies to independent dramas. He has appeared in movies such as Caddyshack, Groundhog Day, Ghostbusters, Stripes, Lost in Translation just to name a few. Murray is also famous for his work on Saturday Night Live. Murray has been part of the music scene on numerous occasions over the years performing at events including Eric Claptons Crossroads Festival and John Prine The Steeldrivers at the Grand Ole Opry. During his years on Saturday Night Live, Murray portrayed Nick the Lounge Singer and entertained guests with songs like Brandy and most famously Star Wars. Murray recently made an appearance at the Big Blues Bender at Westgates International Theater in September.He joined his Blood Brothers featuring Mike Zito and Albert Castiglia, along with The Bender Brass horn section for a memorable set. The crowd joined in for the Dylan classic, shouting back, Like a rolling stone! as Murray delivered good ole rock n roll music in an energetic and inspired that was true-form Murray. In 2017, Murray recorded a studio album featuring singing and literary recitations titled New Worlds with classical musicians cellist Jan Vogler, violist Mira Wang, and pianist Vanessa Perez. Bill and the three band members then joined for a world-wide tour in 2018 combining music and poetry.
