Ring in the new year with Cheaper Than Therapy! Your ticket gets you into the Shelton Theater to start laughing at 10:30pm on December 31, 2024, and includes a champagne toast at midnight. Join us for an after-party to welcome 2025 with live musicians.

Cheaper Than Therapy offers a healthy dose of live stand-up comedy every Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, year-round. Located in San Francisco’s historic Shelton Theater in the heart of Union Square, Cheaper Than Therapy is convenient to get to, whether you live in the Bay Area or are just visiting.

About the show

Each show features five to six hand-picked, experienced comedians and an occasional guest drop-in.

Please arrive at the theater by 10:15pm to check in with the box office. The bar opens at 9:30pm, and the show starts at 10:30pm. Last seating is at 10:50pm.

The theater has a full bar with no drink minimum. Come early for cheap drinks and great seats!

The late New Year’s Eve 2025 show will end at midnight, but the party will go on till we drop. If public transit agencies work as in previous years, we expect that BART will offer special service from 8pm December 31, 2024, till 3am January 1, 2025; and MUNI will offer free NYE service from 8pm December 31, 2024, till 5am January 1, 2025. Frequently asked questions

Is there an age requirement? The show is for mature audience members of 18+ only.

Is there a drink minimum? No, there is no drink minimum.

What if I’m late? This is a live show, and we want everyone to have a great time. As a courtesy to the performers and audience, we will not seat those who arrive after 10:50pm. If you are unable to make it by this time, please let us know. We would be happy to transfer your tickets to a future date.

Is there parking available? There is no parking at the theater, but there are many public parking garages close by. See your options on Parkopedia.

If the event is sold out, will you have tickets at the door? We often sell out, so please buy your tickets in advance. If the event is sold out online, we will not have any extra tickets to sell at the door. In that case, please get tickets to the next show!

If I can’t make it to the show anymore, will the fees be refunded? Unfortunately, Eventbrite does not refund any fees, so only the base ticket price is refunded. However, we’re happy to transfer your tickets to a future show of your choice instead. Just email us at info@cttcomedy.com let us know that you can no longer make it and want to transfer your tickets. Once you’ve decided on a date that works better for you, email us again at least 48 hours in advance of the show, and we’ll confirm your tickets.
