After being named by Playboy magazine as one of the best-unsigned bands in the United States, Ouray found itself a staple on club and concert stages throughout the country.Their first release Chrome On the Range (Taxi Records) was a Midwest radio breakoutin Billboard Magazine and is now a cult status album. Their second album MotorDream saw the band shifting slightly from its country rock roots to a more rock orientedapproach. The band was regularly seen supporting acts like The New Riders Of ThePurple Sage, Sea Level, Commander Cody, Marshall Tucker Band, Asleep At TheWheel, and The Dixie Dregs. In Chicago, Ouray was in regular rotation on WXRTwhere they performed several XRT shows including a live UnConcert simulcast.Originally founded in 1975, brothers Frank and Bo Pirruccello (guitar and pedal steel),established Ouray as one of the most rock-oriented, tight and skillful country rockgroups in the region, (as described by Playboy). Ouray 2017 reflects their ever-relevantAmericana sound and includes the addition of third brother John Pirruccello (whosguitar resume includes work with Keith Richards, Nicholas Tremulis, The AutumnDefense and The Westies). John Forrest (bass) and Rick Barr (drums) complete thecurrent line up for a show to look forward to!
