This holiday season, don’t miss Believe!, a Christmas show with traditional music, written by Faye Couch Reeves and directed by Robert Ford. 

Believe! is a feel-good play for the whole family. It tells the story of Alex Norton, a teen-age boy who has become disillusioned about the meaning of Christmas.  To Alex, Christmas has become over-commercialized, so much so that he thinks most people have forgotten “the reason for the season.”  As our play unfolds, various things happen to Alex which lead him to change his mind about Christmas and to “light a candle rather than curse the darkness.”

Believe! opens at 7 p.m. on Saturday December 14 at the Willits Community Theatre, 37 West Van Lane, in downtown Willits.  The following day, Sunday, December 15, there are shows at 2 p.m. and at 7 p.m. The following Friday and Saturday, Believe! plays at 7 pm, and it closes on Sunday, December 22 with a show at 2 p.m.  Tickets are $20. 

Believe! has a huge cast, nearly enough to cast The Ten Commandments by Cecil B. de Mille. Main actors in Believe! are William Hahn playing Alex, Desa Holt playing his sister Emma, Rebecca King playing Mom, Corey Gaus playing Dad and Finn Shipp playing Alex’s brother Sid. Pastor Jim Semisch plays a character in the play named Pastor Jim and Soren Thornberg plays Alex as a child. The play has a full compliment of teens and children playing Alex’s friends, as well as angels, sheep and shepherds in the local church’s Christmas pageant. 

Believe! is a Willits Community Theatre-Gateway to the Stage  production and is sponsored by ENJ Construction and Landscaping and by the Calvary Chapel of Willits.
