The Tallgrass Chamber Choir & Orchestra (Est. 2009) is a professional ensemble of musicians from states across the Great Plains, including Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, and Texas. Named after the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve in the Flint Hills, Tallgrass performs a wide variety of repertoire and frequently records new music for publishers in New York (Carl Fischer), Chicago (Walton Music), Wisconsin (Hal Leonard), Texas (Alliance Music) and California (Santa Barbara Music Publishing).
