You’ll hear Clausen’s O Holy Night, Willan’s The Three Kings, and Zgodava’s Out of the Orient Crystal Skies as the Magi follow a star on their journey to find the newborn king. We long for the Christ child’s arrival in O Come, O Come Emmanuel, offered in memory of Alice Parker who died last Christmas Eve surrounded by her family. Your spirit will soar to the triumphant and mystical Dark and Luminous Night by Ola Gjeilo, and delight in the world premiere of Gifts of the Magi by Ralph and Laurie Johnson, a profoundly moving new composition on the meaning of gold, frankincense and myrrh, along with works by Charles Ives and Bach.
