Probably (maybe definitely) one of the most fun pre-code Hollywood movies ever, THE THIN MAN spawned multiple sequels, but nothing beats the original. An anxious daughter hires famed detectives Nick and Nora Charles to help locate her missing father. The plot is a bit thin, but the martinis are very dry. This effortlessly enjoyable hangover mystery is full of dry-witted detectives, zingers, and booze – 90 minutes of pure holiday fun! Based on a story by Dashiell Hammett, and starring Myra Loy and (Kansas City’s own) William Powell. Come around early between 6-7pm for a special cocktail happy hour!
