Join us for an exclusive four-course wine and dining experience, limited to just 20 guests per evening, where nine wines hand-selected by Wes Hagen will be expertly paired with a menu crafted by Chef Melissa Scrymgeour.

Wes Hagen
Wes Hagen, a thirty-year veteran of the Santa Barbara County wine scene and a trailblazer for the Central Coast, is renowned as a winemaker, educator, writer, and orator. His deep expertise and passion have made him a respected leader in the California wine industry, encompassing everything from vineyard management to regional development.

Wes has lectured on wine’s art and science at institutions such as Cornell, CalTech, and the Smithsonian and has been honored as the Central Coast Winegrowers Association “Grower of the Year.” A driving force behind the Central Coast’s wine reputation, Wes researched, authored, and secured approval for four AVAs in Santa Barbara County, leaving a lasting impact on the region.

During the evening, Wes will present each wine selection, guiding guests through a tasting experience designed to explore and contrast the unique terroirs of California’s Central Coast with those of Europe’s celebrated wine regions—a tasting journey we’ve dubbed “Crus to the Coast.”

Chef Melissa Scrymgeour
Chef Melissa, owner of Clean Slate Wine Bar and recipient of Solvang Chamber of Commerce’s 2023 Restaurant of the Year, will lean into her French Cajun roots for this specially curated menu. Among the featured dishes will be her celebrated duck and oyster gumbo, a dish you do not want to miss.

$150 per person

The balance of $100 per person (plus any wines you may purchase at the event) plus tax and optional gratuity will be charged at the event.
