This intimate, indoor/outdoor, pre-ticketed gathering is a one-of-kind way to herald the beginning of the holiday season and the arrival of Winter with its festive atmosphere and unique energy that fosters a sense of connection and seasonal celebration amongst makers and guests! 

Beautifully set in a pine draped vintage dairy barn, the market features art, objects, gifts and goods by some of the Hudson Valley’s finest artists, makers, farmers, chefs, bakers and purveyors! From incredible goods, to food, drinks and sweets for purchase, as well as fireside grooves, interactive photo opportunities, making stations, community fire ceremonies and more, the experience is not to be missed!

Our hand-selected 2024 participants represent a special group of creatives we are fortunate to call friends of the Black Barn! Each of these individuals is elevating their craft through a sense of mission, vision and purpose wholly unique and wonderfully experienced. Surrounded by abundant fire and serving up warming food and drink, we are glad to welcome our talented friends Molly Levine of Westerly Canteen (@westerlycanteen), Rebecca Grossman and Lucas Smith of ILSE Coffee (@ilsecoffee) and Ariel Yotive of Vitsky Bakery (@vitskybakery) who will be offering a selection of simple, seasonal fare for guests to purchase. We cannot wait hang in the back barn yard with neighbors and community, while listening to the fireside grooves of Upstate Soul Club (@upstatesoulclub)!

Most importantly we are thrilled to share that a portion of 2024 ticket sales will benefit the work of Tri Corner F.E.E.D., a dynamic organization supporting local farmers and alleviating food insecurity among our neighbors. To learn more about their good work please visit www.tricornerfeed.org.

Tickets are $35 per person, including onsite valet parking and are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Children under 12 are free. There is a rain or shine policy, so please dress in your best upstate Winter layering style. 

We welcome all friendly, well-behaved canine companions, asking that they are kept on leash for the duration of the visit and that their interactions within indoor spaces are monitored and mindful. Assistance animals are unquestionably welcome.

OUR INTENTION 
Created with the hope of fostering a sense of wonder, discovery and connection with the makers, the space, and the land, The Black Barn Winter Market was born in 2023 of a mutual desire to celebrate craft, community and care as the year came to a close. Returning for our second year, after a much-applauded inaugural market, we are excited to welcome returning makers as well as some incredible new ones that will be joining us!

Individuals, couples, friends and families, The Black Barn Winter Market at SkyRise Farm gifts guests the experience of a quintessential Hudson Valley Winter’s day! The Farm will be resplendent with abundant foraged greenery and light-full trees, DJ’s spinning fireside grooves, areas to lounge and connect, community fire ceremonies, warming food, drinks and sweets for purchase, along with one-of-a-kind objects, art and gifts for sale. Our guests are a mix of locals and visitors all looking for a beautiful way to gather in community and joy to kick off the season.

THE VIBE

TICKETS
This is a pre-ticketed event with a set number of guests per day to encourage an intimate, personalized experience. We will implement a waitlist as needed. Tickets are available online only and will not be available at the door. Tickets are $35 and children under 12 are free. A portion of all ticket sales will benefit Tri Corner F.E.E.D (www.tricornerfeed.org). Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. Onsite valet parking is included. The address of SkyRise Farm will be provided at the completion of ticket check-out. It is appreciated, but not necessary to bring your ticket the day of as we will have a master list of all guests printed at check in.

GIVEBACK
As we receive, we give, abundantly, to maintain a cycle of balance and reciprocity. To that end, a portion of all ticket sales will benefit Tri Corner F.E.E.D, a dynamic organization providing valuable resources to local farmers and our neighbors facing food inequity and insecurity.
A Tri Corner F.E.E.D representative will be on site (as available) during the event with a table set to share their important work. If so moved, a gesture of additional guest donations can be made.

ABOUT SKYRISE FARM
SkyRise Farm is located amid the storied Hudson Valley, on close to 50 acres, along the Northeast corner of Dutchess County, in Millerton, N.Y., on what we recognize to be ancestral and unceded Mohican lands.
Held by the rise of the Berkshires to the East, with unparalleled views of the Taconics and the Catskills to the West, the property is a mix of varied ecosystems and terrain. LAND ACKNOWLEDGEMENT
We deeply honor and pay tribute to the lineage of SkyRise Farm, the land and the Ancestors and Elders who came before, acknowledging that we are situated on the unceded and ancestral homelands of the Muh-he-con-ne-ok, the Peoples of the Waters that Are Never Still, the Mohican Nation, the first stewards of these fertile grounds and the surrounding Shekomeko Valley.

GETTING TO SKYRISE FARM
SkyRise Farm is located within the heart of the Hudson Valley, in Millerton, NY. Situated in the Northeast corner of Dutchess County, the property is 90 miles north of Manhattan, via a two hour drive along the scenic Taconic State Parkway, or easily accessible by train from Grand Central via Metro North Railroad to Wassaic, (followed by a 15 minute taxi ride to the farm), or Penn Station via Amtrak to the Rhinecliff Station, (followed by a 40 minute taxi ride to the farm). Taxi’s must be booked in advance with local vendors as there is no Uber, Lyft or other ride share services available. 
Options for out of state guests include Stewart International Airport, an hour away, as well as Albany International Airport and Bradley International Airport, both an hour and a half away- all of which offer domestic and international service.

PARKING
To expedite the flow of traffic, free onsite ticketed valet parking will be offered for the duration of the event for guests. Cars will be safely parked on the side pasture adjacent to the barn and retrieved at the Valet Stand upon departure.

FACILITIES
Portable toilets and an outdoor farm sink with adjacent sanitation station will be set for guest use for the duration of the event directly adjacent to the barn.

WEATHER 
Please note that this is an indoor/outdoor event and due to its intimate nature, The Black Barn Winter Market will happen “rain or shine” with no refunds.

CANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY
Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable. We will not issue refunds for bad weather due to our rain or shine policy, nor due to any forces of nature, i.e., hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, earthquakes, nor’easters, blizzards, snowstorms, etc.

DRESS
As this is an indoor/outdoor event, we encourage guests to bring their best winter layering style so they can add or subtract as needed and to wear sturdy rubber soled footwear to navigate uneven ground. This time of year in the Hudson Valley can be unpredictable, but temperatures tend to trend in the 30’s and 40’s. There will be abundant fires and heaters in the outdoor gathering spaces and heat in the barn where the makers will be, but hats and gloves, a substantial coat, whatever you need to be comfortable and warm is advised. 

TECHNOLOGY
We encourage our guests at SkyRise Farm to tap out so they can truly tap into self, the resonance of the land that surrounds and the fullness of the experience unfolding. The service on the farm is limited, but Wi-Fi calling is available. Network information will be posted for those who need it.  

PHOTOGRAPHY
We will be documenting our time to capture the magic that will undoubtedly be created together! A blanket photography waiver will be in place for The Black Barn Winter Market and guests will be asked to accept and acknowledge this at ticket checkout.
