On November 21, 2024 The Salt Lake Tribune will host its second-annual NewsMakers dinner.

NewsMakers is a night to celebrate those who make the news—and those who shape the news.

On November 21, 2024 The Salt Lake Tribune will host its second-annual NewsMakers dinner.

This year we honor Fraser Bullock as the NewsMaker of the year for his impact on Utah’s past and future as CEO and president of the 2034 Salt Lake City bid committee and former COO of the organizing committee in 2002.

The evening will also feature an update on The Tribune from CEO & Executive Editor Lauren Gustus, as well as the opportunity to meet and dine with the entire Tribune newsroom.

NewsMakers Awards

NewsMaker 2024: Fraser Bullock for his impact on Utah’s past and future as CEO and president of the 2034 Salt Lake City bid committee and former COO of the organizing committee in 2002.

Utah Solutions: Jennifer Mayer-Glenn for her work in west side communities as leader of University Neighborhood Partners.

Tribune Service: Senior Managing Editor David Noyce for his 40 years of work leading The Tribune’s coverage of faith, government, and our communities.

6 pm: Appetizers and a chance to meet The Tribune newsroom

7 pm: Dinner featuring:

  • NewsMakers Awards
  • Annual update on The Tribune from CEO & Executive Editor Lauren Gustus
  • Spotlight on the next generation of student journalists in Utah.
