Don’t miss this upcoming 2024 Local Event in Madison, WI. Happening on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at LJ’s Sports Tavern & Grill. Doors open at 5:00 PM.

Make no-sew blankets to donate to Project Linus and connect with community-minded volunteers over drinks.

Join us to tie blankets and enjoy a cash bar and meeting other community-minded volunteers. We will provide the fleece and instructions to make hand-tied fleece blankets for Project Linus, whose mission is to provide love, a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of new handmade blankets. The handmade blankets will be delivered to children at local hospitals.

I f you are able to, please pick out and bring your own kid-friendly, 1.5 yards (60 inches wide) of fleece to make into a blanket. Fleece will be available for those who do not bring their own. It is highly encouraged to bring your own scissors. Some will be provided but will have to be shared among those in attendance.

Our local network of early career professionals makes a difference through unique volunteer engagements and events and we invite you to be a part of it! Help us mobilize the caring power of our community to make meaningful and lasting change.

We have a DO-GOOD time! Our unique “philanthroparty” model blends hands-on volunteering with a social twist. We learn about the issues facing our community, personally make a difference through volunteerism and connect afterwards over food and drinks. Learn more!

New this year! LINC will be keeping track of team/company points to be able to crown a winner at year end! Points are earned through attendance, winning/placing at competitions, and promoting the event on social media.

Point breakdown:

  • 1 point per attendee
  • 1 point for promoting the event on social media (please send screenshot to linc@uwdc.org)
  • Points will be awards to winning team
