The annual gala raises funds to suppoer the Lodge's school engagment efforts and provide students with scholarships.

The Brothers of W.C. Thomas Lodge #112 have hosted the Horace Ruben Scholarship Banquet since 1986. Named in honor our Past Master Horace Ruben in 1993, each year this banquet celebrates the resiliency and academic achievements of rising Seniors or 1st year college students from our community. Through generous donations from our community partners and sponsors, as well as the fundraising efforts of the Brothers of W.C. Thomas Lodge #112, this event raises funds to support the Lodge’s school engagment efforts with two Atlanta Public School Tiitle 1 schools. In addition, funds raised support the Brothers in our ability to provide scholarships to deserving seniors and first year collage students. W.C. Thomas Lodge #112 provides scholarships totaling a minimum of $5,000 annually to our cholarship recipients. To date this event has assisted more than 60 youth with financial support in the amount of approximately $60,000.
