Don’t miss this upcoming 2024 Local Event in New Haven, CT. Happening on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Criscuolo Park. Doors open at 4:00 PM.

Join Chris Ozyck & Anna Pickett of URI, to investigate two New Haven green spaces & the different community experiences resulting from them.

Thoughtfully designed and regularly maintained tree growth has an outsized impact on the surrounding community. Join local guides & URI Representatives, Chris Ozyck and Anna Pickett, to investigate two New Haven green spaces and how they both impact and reflect on the experiences of different communities in our city. Throughout this tour of Criscuolo Park and the exterior of John S. Martinez School, we will explore the impact of trees, parks, and other green infrastructure on mitigating the Urban Heat Island Effect, enhancing community health and well-being, and reducing disparities in public amenities.
