Comedy on De Land with Comedy on Demand improv troupe is hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Ethan Miller Song Foundation (www.songstrong.org).

Enjoy brick oven pizza baked onsite at the Buddha Barn in Madison, followed by the improv show. This event is BYOBeverage!

Ethan Miller Song Foundation

Ethan Song died in the home of a neighbor whose father had not secured his guns. Contrary to many public reports, handguns were often not secured or locked up in this home. A rifle was frequently stored in the front hall closet. According to police reports, kids pulled the trigger of the rifle on at least one occasion. Young people were able to access weapons for months, even when a parent was in the home. On at least one occasion, Ethan was secretly taught to shoot by the parent.

The Song family honors his life through actions that help keep kids safe. Ethan’s Law will help ensure that dangerous arms are safely secured out of the reach of children and dangerous people.

Ethan’s Law

Ethan’s Law is a national safe gun storage law — specific to homes with children — which will reduce deaths caused by suicide, school shootings, and stolen firearms. It will reduce unintentional deaths. At the moment, there is a great deal of confusion because there is no consistent storage law from state to state. Florida, Texas, and Maine — pro-gun states — all have their own version of Ethan’s Law. Let’s unite to keep kids safe! Learn more here.
