ATX Cookbook Club at Zilker Brewing Company and Taproom – Austin, TX

We’re a cookbook club for people who’d rather cook the book than just read about it. Each month we choose one cookbook, everyone picks a recipe and makes it at home, and we gather potluck-style to eat the whole menu together and talk about how it went.

You don’t need to buy the book: since everyone cooks just one recipe, you only need one recipe. We share the upcoming book at the meetup, you can also access the books via the library, and free online recipes — buy it later if you love it.

The only real rules:

• Claim your dish ahead of time (so we don’t end up with five desserts and no mains)
• Bring your own utensils, plate, serveware & dish card (Name of your recipe & ingredients for our friends with alergens)
• Show up with what you signed up for, and come ready to talk about food with people who love it as much as you do.
• Buy something from our host – they’re giving us a free spot to gather, support them by buying a bevy of any type

We meet in public spaces — our home base is Zilker Brewery in East Austin. You grab a drink there, we claim a few tables, and we spread the month’s menu out to share.
