DIRECTV Super Fan Festival 2015 transformed a Glendale property near University of Phoenix Stadium into a three-day music and entertainment destination. With 13 concerts and multiple activity areas, the event expanded the idea of Arizona Super Bowl concerts into a full festival experience.
The program ran from Wednesday, January 28, through Friday, January 30, before Super Bowl XLIX. Its location at Pendergast Family Farm placed fans close to the stadium and the center of many Glendale Super Bowl events.
The Super Fan Festival Music Lineup
Zac Brown Band opened the main-stage schedule, Calvin Harris headlined Thursday, and Imagine Dragons joined Snoop Dogg for Friday’s finale. The HGTV Lodge added performances from Alesso, Thomas Rhett, Sam Hunt, Jason Derulo, Magic!, Becky G, Young the Giant, Ingrid Michaelson, American Authors, and The Cadillac Three.
That range gave the Super Bowl music festival a broader identity than a single-genre concert. Country, pop, rock, hip-hop, and electronic music fans could all find a night that matched their interests.
Tickets and On-Site Activities
Fans could choose single-day admission or a three-day pass, with early ticket prices beginning at $99 and parking included. Beyond the stages, the festival offered a zip line, rock wall, mechanical bull, bungee jump, football challenges, golf activities, and sponsor experiences.
Food Network and HGTV personalities appeared throughout the property, while national sports shows broadcast from specially designed sets. These additions gave guests entertainment between concerts and created reasons to arrive well before the headliners.
From Festival to Private Super Bowl Party
After the public festival ended, the site was prepared for DIRECTV Super Saturday Night, the company’s invitation-only signature party. That transition showed how one temporary complex could host both ticketed fan programming and exclusive celebrity hospitality.
A separate DIRECTV Super Fan Tailgate, hosted by Chrissy Teigen and Tony Gonzalez for company partners, extended the brand’s presence into game day. Together, the events covered nearly every phase of championship week.
My PartyFixx Planning Advice
A multi-day festival works best when you select the performers and activities that matter most instead of arriving without a plan. Review transportation, set times, prohibited items, and reentry policies before leaving the hotel.
