Gordonsville got the moniker as the fried chicken capital of the world in part to some entrepreneurial African American women who came up with the idea
to sell homemade fried chicken to weary travelers in railroad cars traveling through town. Each year in October, Gordonsville honors its past by hold its annual Fried Chicken Festival.
At GIH we try our best to recreate the recipes of yesteryear with our contemporary twist.
