Peru 10-Day: Lima-Nazca-Humantay-Machu Picchu || Hotels || – Cusco Region, Peru

EXPERIENCE

Day 1: Airport Pick-up – Lima City Tour
You’ll be picked up from the airport and transferred to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, the city tour begins at either 9:00 or 14:00. Explore Lima’s colonial architecture, some buildings dating back over 500 years. The tour ends around 6:00 p.m. Overnight in Lima.

Day 2: Paracas – Huacachina Oasis
Early morning departure at 03:30 for Paracas from Lima. Take a boat ride to the Ballestas Islands to see the Candelabra figure, sea birds, sea lions, and Humboldt penguins. Visit the Chaco boulevard for handicrafts, then transfer to Ica. Arrive and visit Huacachina Lagoon, an oasis amidst the desert. Enjoy sandboarding and tubular car rides. Overnight in Ica.

Day 3: Nazca Lines Flight – Lima
After breakfast, transfer to the bus station for Nazca at 08:30. Arrive around 11:15 and take the Nazca Lines overflight at the María Reiche Aerodrome. Observe enigmatic figures like the condor and monkey. Return to Lima by sleeper bus at 14:30.

Day 4: Cusco City Tour
In the afternoon at 2:00 p.m., start the city tour from Cusco’s Plaza Mayor. Visit the Q’oricanca temple, then head to Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara, and Tambomachay. Tour ends near Plaza de Armas at 6:00 p.m.

Day 5: Sacred Valley Tour
After breakfast, depart at 8:00 a.m. for a guided tour of Pisaq archaeological zone and market. Lunch in Urubamba, then visit Ollantaytambo Fortress and Citadel. Board the train to Aguas Calientes, where the hotel host awaits.

Day 6: Machu Picchu
Early morning bus ride to Machu Picchu for a 2.5-hour guided tour. Enjoy free time, then return to Aguas Calientes for lunch. Afternoon train back to Ollantaytambo and transfer to Cusco.

Day 7: Moray – Maras Salt Mines
At 8:00 a.m., depart for Maras. Visit Moray agricultural laboratory for 40 minutes, then head to Salineras salt mines for a 1-hour tour and shopping. Return around 3:00 p.m.

Day 8: Humantay Lake
Depart at 4:00 a.m. for Mollepata, then Soraypampa for a 1.5-hour hike to Humantay Lake. Enjoy the scenery, then return for lunch in Mollepata. Arrive back in Cusco around 6:00 p.m.

Day 9: Rainbow Mountain
Pick-up at 4:30 a.m. for a 2.5-hour drive to Anchi Pacha. Enjoy breakfast, then trek to Vinicunca or Rainbow Mountain for 2-2.5 hours. Return to Anchi Pacha for lunch, then back to Cusco by 6:30 p.m.

Day 10: Airport Transfer.
