EXPERIENCE

The Perito Moreno Glacier is one of the most beautiful and emblematic landscapes in Patagonia. Enjoy seeing it from various and intense perspectives!

This unforgettable experience begins at the ‘Bajo de las Sombras’ Port, where we embark on a 15-minute navigation to cross the Rico Arm. We get very close to the glacier and at that moment, we have the fantastic perception of its immense size.

Mountain guides take us even closer to the glacier to put on crampons and form groups of up to 20 people to start the approach trek.

Once on the glacier with crampons on, the world takes on a new perspective: blue lagoons, deep cracks, enormous sinkholes, and magical crevasses.

During the approximately 1.5-hour walk, guides explain about the flora, fauna, and glaciology of the region, including the specific phenomenon of Perito Moreno Glacier ruptures.

We sit on the glacier to rest and have time to admire and take beautiful photos, and if desired, have a snack (not included). It’s a fantastic experience to be there, sitting on the glacier surrounded by mountains.

With our energy replenished, we continue walking until we return to the starting point, where we remove the crampons and descend to the port.

We return to the boat satisfied and with another new adventure to tell.

We then pass through the walkways to observe the Perito Moreno Glacier from the front. We see the beautiful blue hue of this immense glacier and take the opportunity to photograph it from a wider angle, observing how it rises from the lake to the mountaintops, returning to ‘civilization’ after having enjoyed one of the most spectacular ice treks in the world.
