  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

Starting at the Monument to the Great Fire of London, discover how a baby dragon destroyed 80% of London, how magic was used to put out the fire, and how an innocent Muggle was accused of starting the fire. After this, marvel at the stunning Victorian Leadenhall Market, a famous filming location thanks to its beautiful neo-gothic architecture, stunning colour scheme, and cobblestone streets, and hear how dragons have a special place in the heart of modern-day London.

Next, cross London Bridge and take in the sights, such as the Shard, The Tower of London, and HMS Belfast. Whilst on the bridge, hear how a daring driver crossed Tower Bridge in a double-decker bus as it was opening, with the bus full of passengers. Stroll along the river Thames visiting some of Bankside’s most famous muggle and magical attractions, including Shakespeare’s Globe Theatre, where some of the most powerful words in the English language have been performed on stage.

Walk across Millennium Bridge and take a moment to close your eyes and feel the bridge swaying in the breeze. Once across the bridge, learn why it sways, and why death eaters attacked the bridge in the opening moments of The Half-Blood Prince. Carry on to St Paul’s Cathedral and listen to how this site of religious worship goes back to the Romans, how the medieval church was once used as a stable, and how it survived the bombings of the London Blitz. Find out which famous wizards stood on the roof of this iconic building. From here, take either a bus or the train, with your guide, and journey from the City of London to the neighbouring City of Westminster.

Once in the City of Westminster, visit some of the magical places which inspired the writer J. K. Rowling to create the magical world of Harry Potter. Along the way, see Trafalgar Square and identify some of the fantastic beasts which live here, and how and why the square was used for the Harry Potter film premieres. Finally, explore some of the City of Westminster’s most memorable filming locations from the Harry Potter film series before taking the underground train to visit Kings Cross, home of Platform 9 and 3/4.
