Enjoy the incredible beauty of Rainbow Mountain with a guided tour. During the tour you will have the opportunity to observe alpacas, llamas and vicuñas, while admiring the wonderful views of the mountains. Enjoy a local lunch before returning to your accommodation in Cusco.
Itinerary:
– Your professional guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco between 4:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. rice. and 4:30 rice.
– After a 2 hour drive, you will arrive at Cusipata, where you will stop for breakfast and buy water and snacks for the hike.
– After breakfast, hike for another hour to the starting point of the trek, at an altitude of 4,850 meters. From there, start the 3.5 km hike to Rainbow Mountain on flat mountainous terrain.
– During the hike you will enjoy wonderful views and encounter alpacas, llamas and wild camels. When you reach the top of the mountain at an altitude of 5010 metres, you can spend some free time to relax and, if the weather is good, enjoy the view of Rainbow Mountain.
– You will reach the starting point in about an hour. Then take the transport back to Cusipata where a local lunch awaits you.
– After a buffet lunch, you will return to Cusco, arriving at 4:00 pm. Head to the Plaza de Armas at 5:00 p.m.
