Begin your tour in the morning as you meet the captain and crew in Salerno’s Porto Manfredi. Start off your cruise with a welcome drink in hand. While you sip your aperitif, watch as the boat pulls away from shore and the cerulean waves of the Tyrrhenian Sea stretch out before you.
The first town you’ll greet, Vietri sul Mare, is known as the gateway to the Amalfi Coast. Cruise onwards past the quaint town of Cetara on towards Erchie, another small hamlet with secluded, charming coves – perfect for a refreshing swim.
Next, gaze up at the Capo D’Orso lighthouse, nestled in the steep, white cliffs, and the Spiaggia Cavallo Morto, or Beach of the Dead Horse, accessible only by boat. Continue to the ancient city of Maiori, thought to be founded by the Etruscans. Admire the sandy beach and scenic cityscape.
As you cruise further, pass by Minori, the oldest inhabited site along the Amalfi Coast. A treasure trove of ancient sites, artifacts, and traditions, gaze at the city as it stretches from the lush green hills to the clear, blue-green waters.
Up next, feast your eyes on the metropolis of Amalfi. Learn about this important medieval city from your captain while you snap photos. Along the way, whet your appetite with some light bites in the sun. Choose between local surf or turf specialties and wash it down with a beverage from the bar.
As you make your way further along the Amalfi Coast, pass by the scenic towns of Conca dei Marini and Furore. Learn about the cities of Praiano and Positano and their ancient roots. Before returning to Salerno, pause by the lush Isola del Giglio with its stunning beaches and clear waters.
Once you’ve discovered the string of pearls that is the Amalfi Coast, chart a course back to Porto Manfredi in Salerno and conclude your tour in the late afternoon.
