After arriving in Qena the location of the first visit for the day, The Temple of Dendera, one of the best sights in Egypt, called initially Tentyris, was one of the most important religious centers in ancient Egypt. It is situated on the west bank of the Nile, south of Qena in Egypt.
After spending some quality time learning about the history and the stories behind the temple and enjoying Egyptian lunch in a local restaurant with your private Egyptologist, you start the drive to the next stop, the city of Abydos.
The city of Abydos is a prominent sacred city and one of the most important archaeological sites of ancient Egypt. The tombs in the city have yielded a rich harvest of intact pottery, royal emblems, ivory labels, and the names of several predynastic kings.
when you’re done you’ll be back in the car have a little nap, and enjoy the road back to Luxor, the driver will drop you off at your accommodation safe and sound after having dinner in a restaurant in Luxor.
