Haridwar, meaning “Gateway to God,” is one of Hinduism’s seven holiest places, famed for the captivating Ganga Aarti ritual at the Har-ki-Pauri ghat and ancient hilltop temples like Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi. Rishikesh, known as the “Yoga Capital of the World,” is a haven for spiritual seekers and yoga enthusiasts, with its numerous yoga and meditation centres and iconic suspension bridges offering stunning vistas of the Ganges and surrounding mountains. These cities stand as timeless symbols of India’s spiritual and natural wealth, drawing pilgrims, seekers, and adventurers to their sacred embrace.

Day 1:
– Start early from Delhi and make your way to Haridwar, located about 220 km away.
– Upon arrival in Haridwar, visit the famous Har Ki Pauri ghat, one of the most sacred places in Hinduism. Witness the evening Ganga Aarti ceremony, a beautiful ritual where devotees offer lamps and prayers to the holy river.
– Explore the bustling markets of Haridwar and indulge in some local street food. Don’t miss the famous Haridwar sweets like Jalebi and Peda!
– Overnight stay in Haridwar.

Day 2:
– After breakfast, proceed towards Rishikesh, located around 20 km from Haridwar.
– Begin your day in Rishikesh by visiting the iconic Laxman Jhula and Ram Jhula, two suspension bridges over the river Ganges. Enjoy the serene views of the river and surrounding mountains.
– Visit the famous ashrams of Rishikesh, such as the Parmarth Niketan and Sivananda Ashram, which offer spiritual retreats, yoga, and meditation programs.
– Spend the evening on the banks of the Ganges, enjoying the peaceful ambiance and taking part in the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti ceremony.
– Overnight stay in Rishikesh.

Day 3:
– Start your day with a rejuvenating yoga session in one of the many yoga centers in Rishikesh. Experience the spiritual side of the city and learn some ancient yogic practices.
– Embark on a scenic trek to the Kunjapuri Temple, located atop a hill and offering panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks, including the famous Nanda Devi peak.
– Explore the Beatles Ashram, also known as Maharishi Mahesh Yogi Ashram, where the legendary band stayed in the late 1960s and wrote many of their famous songs.
– Spend some leisure time along the riverside, practicing meditation, or indulging in adventure activities like river rafting or bungee jumping (if you’re feeling adventurous!).
– After a fulfilling day, return to Delhi in the evening.
