Florence: Access to the Brancacci Chapel Restoration Site - Florence, Italy
  • Anywhere

EXPERIENCE:

The cultural mediators will introduce visitors to the history of the Carmelite convent over the centuries. During the visit, the public will be able to explore the historical and artistic context of the frescoes of the Brancacci Chapel – a milestone in the history of Renaissance art – also thanks to a series of multimedia devices: the narration, supported by visual aids, will allow you to appreciate the history of the complex and to learn more about the history and iconography of the cycle of frescoes. Visitors will then be accompanied to the entrance of the Chapel to climb the scaffolding independently (for safety reasons it is not possible to take guided tours and explanations on the scaffolding) where they will be able to observe the frescoes up close, similarly to when they were painted by the painters themselves.
