Amplify Decatur Music Festival Kicks-Off Friday, April 25th at the Avon Theater

Amplify will host a ticketed event at 7:30 p.m. at Avon Theater (formerly Avondale Town Cinema) featuring The Core, a tribute band who recaptures the energy and excitement of the legendary HORDE Festivals of the 1990s. The Core’s repertoire includes songs from HORDE acts such as Widespread Panic, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Col. Bruce Hampton and The Aquarium Rescue Unit, Big Head Todd & the Monsters, The Black Crowes, The Allman Brothers Band, Spin Doctors, Blues Traveler, Gov’t Mule, Lenny Kravitz, The Samples, Freddy Jones Band, Allgood, and many more. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. Starting off the evening is Buffalo, featuring students from Decatur High School and other local-area schools, specializing in high-energy rock classics.
