What You Will Learn

This workshop is designed to teach you the research-based skill sets of courage that will turn you into a braver, more daring leader. Based on the grounded theory research of Dr. Brené Brown, this Dare to Lead™ course is an interactive leadership workshop like you have never experienced before. It will teach you the skills of courage and provide operationalized tools that can change how you lead forever.

The most significant finding from Brené’s latest research is that courage is a collection of four skill sets that are teachable, measurable, and observable. The Dare to Lead™ program focuses on developing these courage-building skills of rumbling with vulnerability, living into your values, braving trust and learning to rise from failures through workshops, trainings and coaching to help individuals, teams and organizations move from armored leadership to daring leadership.

You will come away with powerful new language, operationalized values, and practical tools and frameworks that will help you lead in the new world of work. You’ll be surrounded by dozens of other top leaders whose unique perspective is sure to bolster the experience even more. Training participants learn the research behind Dare to Lead™ and applications to catalyze a movement of courage, trust and resiliency within one’s personal life, workplace and community.

When: Three day in person course, November 19, 20, & 21, 2024

Where: This interactive workshop will be an in-person* experience in Houston, TX. Sponsored by the Houston West Chamber of Commerce, 10375 Richmond Ave. Suite 225 Houston, TX 77042.

Time: 8:00am – 5:00pm CDT on all three days with breakfast and lunch included.

Learning Credit

Individuals who successfully complete the full 24-hour Dare to Lead™ program will receive a certificate of completion and are allowed to put a Dare to Lead™ Trained badge on their LinkedIn account. Please mark the dates on your calendar and plan any travel accordingly to ensure full attendance on all three days in order to receive your certification.

We can provide you with any details you need about the training to log in your company’s learning management system or to submit for professional certification credits.

Joni D. Goodman, CPTD, CDTLF is the Founder & Chief Breakthrough Officer at JDGAdvisors. She collaborates with her clients: employees, sales professionals, leaders and executives and together with them boosts learning initiatives, sales, and leadership, to achieve development goals! Joni was selected and trained by Dr. Brene’ Brown as one of the first Dare to Lead™ facilitators in the world. She recently received her certificate in Women Centered Coaching, a professional coaching program specializing in empowering self-actualizing women one-on-one, as well as a professional facilitator who leads extraordinary workshops, women’s circles, retreats and more. Joni is known for creating safe spaces where leaders can put down their armor and lean into growth. Ms. Goodman has over 20 years of experience in the learning and development space where her experience encompasses effective management development, sales training, mentoring, and executive coaching. She is also a published author in: “The Book of Road Tested Training Activities”, “Association for Talent Developments (ATD)Training Toolkit application”, and “101 Ways to Make Training Active”. Ms. Goodman has been a featured speaker for the HR Houston Gulf Coast Symposium, ATD ICE, ATD Houston, ATD San Antonio, Gulf Coast Diversity Council and W.I.S.E. (Women In Sport and Events) to name a few. Joni is a graduate of the Center for Houston’s Future Business and Civic Leadership Forum. She was awarded as a Texas Executive Women (TEW) 2023 Women on The Move Honoree and received the Association for Talent Development (ATD) Houston Community Impact Award for her dedication and support to the talent development and training community.

Refund Policy

Tickets are transferable if you let us know in advance that you need to cancel and email us with the details of the person you wish to transfer the ticket to.
