Artists incorporating bourbon into their work present them to you at the ABV Barrel’s Shop Speakeasy Education Center(next door to the shop)

The ABV Barrel Shop (6 Fox Valley Center, Arnold, MO) is pleased to host a Bourbon Artisan Festival at its Speakeasy-Themed Education Center on Saturday, November 9, 2024. We will feature over one dozen vendors, each feature handcrafted items that are tied to the borubon world. Whether its food with bourbon used as an ingredient, crafts made with bourbon barrels, personal use items like soap made with bourbon or something with a fun tie to the Bourbon like a handcrafted game based around the Kentucky Derby, this is a fun event that is the perfect way to kick-off your holiday shopping for the bourbon fan on your list.

Here’s a look at the featured vendors (please keep checking, we may add a few more):

  • Blue Springs Homestead – Angie Creed is a baker who sells at the Arnold Farmer’s Market where she makes cookies and other baked goods using bourbon.
  • Waterfall Glen Soap Company – Owner Douglass Coggeshall has been making handmade soaps for over a decade. One of his products contains Old Monroe Distilling Co. (the former Stumpy’s Spirits). He’ll have all of his products at his table.
  • VIA Honeybees – VIA Honeybees used an ABV Barrel Shop barrel to make its first barrel aged honey. They won second place in the nationals and are back with another barrel aged offering.
  • Barrel Aged Coffee – We are going to have a coffee brand onsite that uses bourbon barrels to age its coffee beans.
  • Moll Creative Designs – Firefighter Dominic Moll creates many usuable items from old bourbon barrels. We’re talking shelves, flight boards and even furniture.
  • Callahan Rickhouse Aged Country Hams – Keith Callahan makes country hams aging them in whiskey rickhouses.
  • Southside Alchemy – Have you ever reconfigured a Bloody Mary with bourbon? You definitely need to give that one a try and Southside’s Bloody Mary mix is the perfect base to get started with.
  • River City Craft Cocktail Syrup – Looking to explore cocktails with syrups? River City Cocktail Syrups can help. Additionally, their parent company, Two Men and a Garden offer some fresh salsas and other items that will also be available.
  • Jeff Robert’s Whiskey Bottle Lights – Class up your whiskey den with Jeff’s whiskey lights.
  • Across The Board Games – St. Louis’ own Across the Board games makes handmade games that are great family fun. Two of their offerings, a Kentucky Derby and a Keeneland Race have pretty deep connections to bourbon with their sponsorships. See these games family heirloom worthy games and pick up a fun and interactive holiday gift.
  • Bits and Bites Bakery – Erin Steinkamp bakes cupcakes, chocolates and other confections using bourbon.
  • Oldmanbaysigns – Matt “Old Man” Bay is a noted signmaker from the area. He’s made signs that hang in numerous distillery across the country. All of his signed are handrouted and never using lasers and CNC machines.
  • Amy’s Cake Pop Shop and Boozy Bites – Many know Amy Gamlin from Gamlin’s Whiskey House, a business she and her husband own. Today, Amy has her own business where she makes cake pops and chocolates using bourbon.

In addition to this festival featuring artisans that created what they are selling, you get the following with your $5 admission ticket:

  • Access to talk to these vendors, in some cases sample their products and buy them directly from the artisan making them.
  • Three whiskey pours (you will get tickets you can redeem to “sip while you shop.”
  • The chance to buy the ABV Barrel Shop’s exclusive brandy pick from Nobleton’s Distilling House (Union, MO). This is the only time Nobleton’s is planning to sell a brandy pick so this is a very exclusive offering.

Additionally, we will have Kanoa’s Hawaiian Food Truck onsite so you can buy your lunch while you are here. Of course, the ABV Barrel Shop is open that day so you can taste some of their 50+ whiskey offerings available at their tasting bar so you can find the perfect bottle for those on your holiday gift lists.

Please note there is a strict “NO REFUNDS” policy on this event. No shows mean we shut people out who want to attend so we must stick to the fact that no refunds are being offered if you have to cancel no matter how legitimate the reason is.

Should the event show up as “SOLD OUT,” please call us at the ABV Barrel Shop. While not guaranteed, there may be a few tickets left.

A few notes about this event:

  1. You must be 21 years of age or older to participate.
  2. The event will be held at the ABV Barrel Shop’s education center (6 Fox Valley Center, Arnold, MO 63010).
  3. All participants must have a ticket!
