Paying tribute to Rock’n’ Roll wild man Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. The band will be arriving from NYC like a ghost coming to town has shock rocked their fans. Mike Armando was Screamin’ Jay Hawkins guitarist back in the 70’s who got this all started and is the guitarist for this band. Mike said he got the idea after being interviewed for Steve Bergsman’s new book I Put A Spell On You: The Bizarre Life of Screamin’ Jay Hawkins. After years of performing in Hawkins band my crazy musical experiences are in Steve’s book than I came to thinking yes people will love the book but why not give them the music also. This is how this project came about.

THE RESURRECTION OF SCREAMIN’ JAY HAWKINS BAND is a wild visual event along with killer musicians. On guitar will be Screamin Jay Hawkins guitarist from the 1970’s Mike Armando Mike shared the stage with major musical acts such as 5 Satins, Critters, Marveletts, Bobby Lewis, Velon’s, Scott Mckenzie and many more. His music has been played throughout the U.S and in Europe. Tex the bands jazz saxophonist who played with the best and toured in Europe. Our star actor and singer is Shakar “TheRealShakar” Brumfield is the vocalist for the group who won Making a Star competitions at the Apollo theater. Other members of the group are Andrew Golba a well known NY bassist from NYC and to round it all out and holding everything together Michael Fox drummer education graduate of Performing Arts. Studied Mallets with Jim Price Manhattan School of Music. Michael has Performed with Etta James, Jay Siegel and the Tokens, The Devotions, the Classics and the late great Tommy Mara and the Crest..
