Join us for a unique sourdough workshop, with a starter hailing from the Oregon Trail in 1847.

This ain’t your grandma’s sourdough, it’s Oregon Trail Sourdough! Join us for a fun and educational event where you’ll learn everything you need to know about making delicious sourdough bread from scratch. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned bread maker, this event is perfect for anyone looking to expand their baking skills.

Join us for a unique sourdough workshop, with a starter hailing from the Oregon Trail in 1847. This starter can be traced back several generations, which came from a sourdough culture carefully nurtured and preserved in the family for over 150 years.

Workshop includes a printed sourdough bread guide and a take-home Oregon Trail sourdough starter. This 2-hour workshop will be held on Saturday, October 12, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Holmesteading Farms.

Please note the registration deadline is October 2nd to allow time to prepare the sourdough starters and any pre-order loaves for each attendee.

BOGO TICKETS: Bring a spouse, friend, child, etc. with you at no additional cost. Begin your sourdough journey together learning the basics and share the take home guide and starter! If you can’t share the sourdough starter, purchase an additional starter for $15.

LOCATION: This class will be held at Holmesteading Farms at 27389 Bagley Rd. Olmsted Township OH 44138 in our back of the farm outdoor covered pavilion. From the parking area to the pavilion it is approximately 100 feet, please let us know if you need a parking accommodation. Please dress for the weather!
